Recitation । তেলাওয়াত

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

পরম করুণাময় ও অসীম দয়ালু আল্লাহর নামে

١ الم

১. আলিফ-লাম-মীম।

1. Alif Laam Miim.

٢ اَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ اَنْ يُّتْرَكُوْا اَنْ يَّقُوْلُوْا اٰمَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُوْنَ
২. মানুষেরা কি (এটা) মনে করে নিয়েছে, তাদের (শুধু) এটুকু বলার কারণেই ছেড়ে দেয়া হবে যে, আমরা ঈমান এনেছি এবং তাদের (কোনো রকম) পরীক্ষা করা হবে না।

2. Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, "We believe", and that they will not be tested?

٣ وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۖ فَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ صَدَقُوْا وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ الْكٰذِبِيْنَ
৩. আমি তো সেসব লোকদেরও পরীক্ষা করেছি যারা এদের আগে (এভাবেই ঈমানের দাবী করেছিলো) অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাআলা নিশ্চয়ই তাদের ভালো করে জেনে নেবেন যারা (ঈমানের দাবীতে) সত্যবাদী, (আবার ঈমানের) মিথ্যা দাবীদারদেরও তিনি অবশ্যই জেনে নেবেন।

3. We did test those before them, and Allah will certainly know those who are true from those who are false.

٤ اَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِيْنَ يَعْمَلُوْنَ السَّيِّاٰتِ اَنْ يَّسْبِقُوْنَا ۚ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُوْنَ
৪. যারা সব সময় পাপের কাজ করে বেড়ায় তারা এটা ধরে নিয়েছে, তারা (বৈষয়িক প্রতিযোগীতায়) আমার থেকে আগে চলে যাবে, (এটা তাদের) একটা মন্দ সিদ্ধান্ত, যা (আমার সম্পর্কে) তারা করতে পারলো।

4. Do those who practise evil think that they will outstrip Us? Evil is their judgment!

٥ مَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُوْا لِقَاءَ اللّٰهِ فَاِنَّ اَجَلَ اللّٰهِ لَاٰتٍ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ
৫. তোমাদের মধ্যে যে ব্যক্তি এ আশা করে, সে আল্লাহ তাআলার সামনা-সমানি হবে (তবে সে যেন জেনে রাখে), আল্লাহ তাআলার নির্ধারিত (এ) সময়টা অবশ্যই আসবে, আল্লাহ তাআলা সবকিছু শোনেন, সবকিছু জানেন।

5. For those whose hopes are in the meeting with Allah, the term (appointed) by Allah is surely coming; and He hears and knows (all things),

٦ وَمَنْ جَاهَدَ فَاِنَّمَا يُجَاهِدُ لِنَفْسِهِ ۚ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَغَنِىٌّ عَنِ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ
৬. যে ব্যক্তি (আল্লাহ তাআলার পথে) সাংগ্রাম সাধনা করে, সে তো (আসলে) তা করে তার নিজের (কল্যাণের) জন্যেই, অবশ্যই আল্লাহ তাআলা সৃষ্টিকূল থেকে প্রয়োজনমুক্ত।

6. And if any strive (with might and main), they do so for their own souls; for Allah is free of all needs from all creation.

৩৬. আমি মাদইয়ান (বাসী)-এর কাছে তাদের ভাই শোয়াইবকে পাঠিয়েছি, তখন সে (তাদের) বললো, হে আমার জাতি, তোমরা এক আল্লাহ তা'আলার ইবাদত কারো এবং পরকাল দিবসের (পুরষ্কারের) আশা করো, (আল্লাহর) যমীনে তোমরা বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টি করো না।

36. To the Madyan (People) (We sent) their brother Shu'aib. Then he said: "O my people! serve Allah and fear the Last Day: nor commit evil on the earth with intent to do mischief.

৩৭. কিন্তু তারা তাকে মিথ্যা সাব্যস্থ করলো, অতঃপর প্রচণ্ড ভূমিকম্প তাদের পাকড়াও করলো, ফলে তারা নিজ নিজ ঘরেই উপুড় হয়ে পড়ে থাকলো।

37. But they rejected him: then the mighty Blast seized them and they lay prostrate in their homes by the morning.

৩৮. আ'দ এবং সামুদকেও (আমি ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি), তাদের (ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত) বসতি থেকেই তো তোমাদের কাছে (শাস্তির সত্যতা) প্রমাণিত হয়ে গেছে। শয়তান তাদের কাজ তাদের সামনে শোভন করে রেখেছিলো, অথচ তারা (তাদের অন্য সব ব্যাপারে) ছিলো! দারুণ বিচক্ষণ!

38. (Remember also) the Ad and the Thamud (people): clearly will appear to you from (the traces) of their buildings (their fate): Satan made their deeds alluring to them and kept them back from the Path, thought they were keen-sighted.

৩৯. কারুন, ফেরাউন এবং হামানকেও (আমি ধ্বংস করেছি)। মূসা তাদের কাছে আমার সুস্পষ্ট আয়াত নিয়ে এসেছিলো, কিন্তু তারা (তাকে মানার বদলে) যমীনে বড় বেশী অহঙ্কার করেছিলো এবং কোনো অবস্থায় (আমার শাস্তি থেকে) পালিয়ে আগে চলে যেতে পারতো না।

39. (Remember also) Quran, Pharaoh and Haman: there came to them Moses with Clear Signs but they behaved with insolence on the earth; yet they could not over reach (Us).

৪০. অতঃপর এদের সবাইকেই আমি (তাদের) নিজ নিজ পাপের কারণে পাকড়াও করেছি, এদের কারো ওপর প্রচণ্ড ঝড় পাঠিয়েছি, কাউকে মহাগর্জন এসে আঘাত হেনেছে, কাউকে আমি যমীনের নীচে গেড়ে দিয়েছি, আবার কাউকে আমি (পানিতে) ডুবিয়ে দিয়েছি, (মূলত) আল্লাহ তা'আলা এমন ছিলেন না যে, তিনি এদের ওপর কোনো অত্যাচার করেছেন, অত্যাচার তো বরং তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের ওপর করেছে।

40. Each one of them We seized for his crime of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with Showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): it was not Allah Who wronged them: they wronged themselves.

৪১. যেসব লোক আল্লাহ তা'আলার পরিবর্তে অন্যকে (নিজেদের) অভিভাবক হিসেবে গ্রহণ করে, তাদের দৃষ্টান্ত হচ্ছে মাকড়সার মতো, তারা (নিজেরাও এক ধরনের) ঘর বানায়; আর (দুনিয়ার) দূর্বলতম ঘর হচ্ছে (এ) মাকড়সার ঘর। কত ভালো হতো যদি তারা (এ সত্যটুকু) বুঝতে পারতো।

41. The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the Spider, who builds (to itself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the Spider's house; if they but knew.

৪২. এরা আল্লাহ তা'আলার পরিবর্তে যেসব কিছুকে ডাকে, আল্লাহ তা'আলা তাদের সম্পর্কে সম্যক অবগত রয়েছেন; তিনি মহাপরাক্রমশালী, প্রবল প্রজ্ঞাময়।

42.Verily Allah doth know of (every thing) whatever that they call upon besides Him: and He is Exalted (in power), Wise.

৪৩. এ হচ্ছে (সেই) উদাহরণ, যা আমি মানুষদের জন্যেই পেশ করি, কেবল জ্ঞানী ব্যক্তিরাই তা বুঝতে পারে।

43. And such are the Parables We set forth for mankind, but only those understand them who have Knowledge.

৪৪. আল্লাহ তায়ালা আসমানসমূহ ও যমীন যথাযথভাবেই সৃষ্টি করেছেন; (বস্তুত) এতে ঈমানদারদের জন্যে (আল্লাহ তায়ালার অস্তিত্বের পক্ষে বড়) প্রমাণ রয়েছে।

44. Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth: verily in that is a Sign for those who believe.

৪৫. (হে নবী)! যে কিতাব আপনার ওপর অবতীর্ণ করা হয়েছে, আপনি তা তেলাওয়াত করুন এবং নামায প্রতিষ্ঠা করুন, নিঃসন্দেহে নামায (মানুষকে) অশ্লীলতা ও মন্দ কাজ থেকে বিরত রাখে; উপরন্তু আল্লাহ পাককে (সর্বদা) স্মরণ করাও একটি মহান কাজ; তোমরা যা কিছু করো আল্লাহ তা'আলা তা সম্যক অবগত আছেন।

45. Recite what is sent of the Book by inspiration to thee, and establish regular Prayer: for Prayer estrains from shameful and evil deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greattest (thing in life) without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that you do.

৪৬. (হে মুসলমানরা)! তোমরা কিতাবধারীদের সাথে উত্তম পন্থা ছাড়া কোনো রকম তর্ক-বির্তক করো না, আবার তাদের মধ্যে যারা অত্যাচার করে তাদের কথা আলাদা, আর (তোমরা) বলো, আমরা ঈমান এনেছি (কিতাবের) যা কিছু আমাদের ওপর অবতীর্ণ করা হয়েছে (তার ওপর), আরো ঈমান এনেছি যা কিছু তোমাদের ওপর অবতীর্ণ করা হয়েছে (তার পরও, আসলে) আমাদের মা'বুদ ও তোমাদের মা'বুদ হচ্ছেন একজন আমরা সবাই তাঁর কাছেই আত্মসমর্পণ করি।

46. And dispute you not with the People of the Book, except in the best way, unless it be with those of them who do wrong but say, "We believe in the Revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; our God and your God is one; and it is to Him we submit (in islam)."

৪৭. এভাবে আমি তোমার ওপর (এ) কিতাব অবতীর্ণ করেছি, আমি (পূর্বে) যাদের কিতাব দান করেছিলাম (যারা সত্যানুসন্ধিৎসু ছিলো) তারা এর ওপর ঈমান এনেছে, (পরবর্তী) লোকদের মাঝেও (কিছু ভালো মানুষ আছে) যারা এর ওপর ঈমান এনেছে; (আসলে) অস্বীকারকারীরা ছাড়া কেউই আমার আয়াতের প্রতি বিদ্রোহ করে না।

47. And thus (it is) that We have sent down the Book to thee. So the People of the Book believe therein, as also do some of these (Pagan Arabs): and none but Unbelievers reject Our Signs.

৪৮. (হে নবী)! আপনি তো (এ কোরআন অবতীর্ণ হওয়ার আগে) কোনো বই পুস্তক পাঠ করেননি, না আপনি আপনার ডান হাত দিয়ে কোনো কিছু লিখে রেখেছেন যে, (তা দেখে) অসত্যের পূজারীরা (আজ) সন্দেহে লিপ্ত হয়ে পড়েছে!

48. And thou was not (able) to recite a Book before this (Book came), nor art thou (able) to transcribe it with thy right hand: in that case, indeed, would the talkers of vanities have doubted.

৪৯. বরং এগুলো হচ্ছে যাদের আল্লাহ তা'আলার পক্ষ থেকে জ্ঞান দেয়া হয়েছে; তাদের অন্তরে সুষ্পষ্ট কিছু নির্দশন, কতিপয় অত্যাচারী ব্যক্তি ছাড়া আমার (এ সুস্পষ্ট) আয়াতের সাথে কেউই গোড়ামি করতে পারে না।

49. Nay, here are Signs self-evident in the hearts of those endowed with knowledge: and none but the unjust reject Our Signs.

৫০. আপনার (তোমার সম্পর্কে) বলে, এ ব্যক্তির কাছে তার প্রভুর পক্ষ থেকে (নবুওয়াতের) কোনো প্রমাণ অবতীর্ণ হয় না কেন? (হে নবী)! আপনি বলুন, যাবতীয় নিদর্শন তো আল্লাহ তা'আলার হাতেই রয়েছে; আমি তো হচ্ছি (শাস্তির) একজন সুস্পষ্ট সতর্ককারী মাত্র!

50. Yet they say: "Why are not Signs sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: The Signs are indeed with Allah: and I am indeed a clear Warner.

৫১. (হে নবী)! এদের জন্যে এটাই কি যথেষ্ট নয় যে, স্বয়ং আমিই আপনার ওপর কিতাব অবতীর্ণ করেছি, যা তাদের কাছে তেলাওয়াত করা হচ্ছে; অবশ্যই ঈমানদার সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে এতে (আল্লাহ তা'আলার) অনুগ্রহ ও নসীহত রয়েছে।

51. And is it not enough for them that We have sent down to thee the Book which is rehearsed to them? Verily, in it is Mercy and a Reminder to those who believe.

৫২. (হে নবী)! আপনি বলুন, আমার ও তোমাদের মধ্যে সাক্ষী হিসেবে আল্লাহ তা'আলাই যথেষ্ট, (কেননা) আসমানসমূহ ও যমীনে যা আছে (তার) সবকিছু তিনি জানেন; যারা বাতিলের ওপর ঈমান আনে এবং আল্লাহ তা'আলাকে অস্বীকার করে, তারাই হচ্ছে মারাত্মক ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত মানুষ।

52. Say:" Enough is Allah for a Witness between me and you: He knows what is in the heavens and on earth." And it is those who believe in vanities and reject Allah, that are the losers.

৫৩. (হে নবী)!এরা আপনার কাছে শাস্তি ত্বরান্বিত করার কথা বলে; যদি (আল্লাহ তা'আলার কাছে) এদের (শাস্তি দেয়ার) জন্যে একটি দিনক্ষণ সুনির্দিষ্ট না থাকতো, তাহলে কবেই না তাদের ওপর শাস্তি এসে যেতো; অবশ্যই এদের ওপর আকস্মিকভাবে শাস্তি আসবে এবং তারা জানতেও পারবে না।

53. They ask thee to hasten on the Punishment (for them): had it not been for a term (of respite) appointed, the Punishment would certainly have come to them: and it will certainly reach them, of a sudden, while they perceive notC

৫৪. আপনার কাছে এরা শাস্তি ত্বরান্বিত করার কথা বলে; (অথচ) দোযখ তো কাফেরদের পরিবেষ্টন করেই নেবে।

54. They ask thee to hasten on the Punishment: but of a surety, Hell will encompass the rejecters of Faith.

৫৫. যেদিন শাস্তি তাদের গ্রাস করবে তাদের ওপর থেকে এবং তাদের পায়ের নীচ থেকে, আল্লাহ তা'আলা (তখন) বলবেন, (পৃথিবীতে) তোমরা যা কিছু করতে (এখন তার) মজা উপভোগ করো।

55. On the Day that the Punishment shall cover them from above them and from below them, and (a Voice) shall say: "Taste you (the fruits) of your deeds."

৫৬. হে আমার বান্দারা! যারা আমার ওপর ঈমান এনেছো,   আমার যমীন অনেক প্রশস্ত, সুতরাং তোমরা অতঃপর একমাত্র আমারই ইবাদত করো।

56. O my servants who believe! truly, spacious is My Earth: therefore serve you Me (and Me alone).

৫৭. প্রতিটি জীবকেই মরণের স্বাদগ্রহণ করতে হবে। এর পরে তোমাদের সবাইকে আমার কাছেই ফিরিয়ে আনা হবে।

57. Every soul shall have a taste of death: in the end to Us shall you be brought back.

৫৮. যারা আমার ওপর ঈমান আনবে এবং নেক কাজ করবে, আমি তাদের জন্যে অবশ্যই বেহেশতে (সুরম্য)  কোঠা তৈরী করবো, যার তলদেশ দিয়ে ঝর্ণাধারা প্রবাহমান থাকবে, সেখানে তারা চিরস্থায়ী হবে; কত উত্তম পুরস্কার এ নেককার মানুষগুলোর জন্যে!

58. But those who believe and work deeds of righteousness to them shall We give a Home in Heaven, lofty mansions beneath which flow rivers, to dwell therein for aye; an excellent reward for those who do (good)!

৫৯. (নেককার মানুষ হচ্ছে তারা), যারা ধৈর্যধারণ করেছে (এবং সর্বাবস্থায়) নিজেদের প্রভুর ওপরই নির্ভর করেছে।

59. Those who persevere in patience, and put their trust in their Lord and Cherisher.

৬০. কত (ধরনের) বিচরণশীল জীবন (এ দুনিয়ায়) রয়েছে, যারা কেউই নিজেদের জীবিকা (নিজেরা কাঁধে) বহন করে বেড়ায় না, আল্লাহ তা'আলাই তাদের এবং তোমাদের (নিত্যদিনের) জীবিকা সরবরাহ করেন, তিনি সবকিছু শোনেন এবং সবকিছু জানেন।

60. How many are the creatures that carry not their own sustenance? It is Allah who feeds (both) them and you: for He hears and knows (all things).

৬১. (হে নবী)! আপনি যদি তাদের জিজ্ঞেস করেন, আসমানসমূহ ও যমীন কে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে কে বশিভূত করে রেখেছেন, তারা অবশ্যই বলবে, (একমাত্র) আল্লাহ তা'আলা, (কিন্তু তারপরও) এরা কোথায় কোথায় ঠোকর খাচ্ছে?

61. if indeed thou ask them who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law), they will certainly reply, "Allah". How are they then deluded away (from the truth)?

৬২. (বস্তুত) আল্লাহ তা'আলা তাঁর বান্দাদের মাঝে যাকে চান তার রিযিক প্রশস্ত করে দেন, (আবার যাকে চান) তার জন্যে তা কমিয়ে দেন: অবশ্যই আল্লাহ তা'আলা সবকিছুর ব্যাপারে সম্যক অবগত আছেন।

62. Allah enlarges the sustenance (which he gives) to whichever of his servants He pleases; and He (similarly) grants by (strict) measure, (as he pleases): for Allah has full knowledge of all things.

৬৩. (হে নবী)! যদি আপনি তাদের জিজ্ঞেস করেন, আসমান থেকে কে পানি বর্ষণ করেছেন, অতঃপর কে যমীন একবার মরে যাওয়ার পর সে (পানি) দ্বারা তাতে জীবন সঞ্চার করেছেন, অবশ্যই এরা বলবে, একমাত্র আল্লাহ তা'আলাই; আপনি বলুন, যাবতীয় প্রশংসা একমাত্র আল্লাহ তা'আলার জন্যে; কিন্তু ওদের অধিকাংশ মানুষই (তা) অনুধাবন করে না।

63. And if indeed thou ask them who it is that sends down rain from the sky, and gives life therewith to the earth after its death, they will certainly reply,"Allah" Say,"Praise be to Allah!" But most of them understand not.

৬৪. এ পার্থিব জীবন তো অর্থহীন কতিপয় খেল তামাশা ছাড়া (আসলেই) আর কিছু নং; নিশ্চয় আখেরাতের জীবন হচ্ছে সত্যিকারের জীবন। কত ভালো হতো যদি তারা (এ বিষয়টা) জানতো।

64. What is the life of this world but amusement and play? But verily the Home of the heareafter, that is life indeed, if they but knew.

৬৫. যখন একটা জলযানে আরোহণ করে, তখন তারা নিষ্ঠার সাথে আল্লাহ তা;আলাকেই ডাকে, জীবন বিধানকে একমাত্র তার জন্যে (নিবেদন করে) কিন্তু আল্লাহ তা'আলা যখন তাদের মুক্তি দিয়ে স্থলে নামিয়ে নিরাপদ করে দেন, (তখন) সাথে সাথে আল্লাহ তা'আলার সাথেই এরা শরীক করতে শুরু করে,

65. Now, if they embark on a boat, they call on Allah, making their devotion sincerely (and exclusively) to Him: but when He has delivered them safely to (dry) land, behold they give a share (of their worship to others).

৬৬. যেন আমি তাদের (ওপর) যা কিছু অনুগ্রহ করেছি তা তারা অস্বীকার করতে পারে এবং (এভাবেই এরা) কয়টা দিন (দুনিয়ার) ভোগবিলাস করে কাটিয়ে দিতে পারে। শীঘ্রই এরা (আসল ঘটনা) জানতে পারবে।

66. Disdaining ungratefully Our gifts, and giving themselves up to (wordly) enjoyment! But soon will they know.

৬৭. এরা কি দেখতে পাচ্ছে না, (কিভাবে) আমি (এ মক্কাকে) শান্তি ও নিরাপদ আশ্রয়স্থল বানিয়ে রেখেছি, অথচ তার চারপাশে মানুষদের (প্রতিনিয়ত জোর করে) ছিনিয়ে নেয়া হচ্ছে; এরপরও কি তারা বাতিলের ওপর ঈমান আনবে এবং আল্লাহ তা'আলার নেয়ামত অস্বীকার করবে?

67. Do they not then see that We have made a Sanctuary secure, and that men are being snatched away from all around them? Then, do they believe in that which is vain, and reject the Grace of Allah?

৬৮. তার চেয়ে বড় অত্যাচারী আর কে হতে পারে যে (স্বয়ং) আল্লাহ তা'আলার ওপরই মিথ্যা অপবাদ আরোপ করে, অথবা তার কাছে যখন সত্য এসে যায় তখন তাকেই অস্বীকার করে; (হে নবী)! এমন ধরনের অস্বীকারকারীদের জন্যে দোযখই কি (একমাত্র) আশ্রয়স্থল (হওয়া উচিত) নয়?

68. And who does more wrong than he who invents a lie against Allah or rejects the Truth when it reaches him? Is there not a home in Hell for those who reject faith?

৬৯. (অন্যদিকে) যারা আমারই পথে জিহাদ করে, আমি অবশ্যই তাদের আমার পথে পরিচালিত করি, নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ তা'আলা নেককার বান্দাদের সাথে রয়েছেন।

69. And those who strive in Our (case),-We will certainly guide them to Our Paths: for verily Allah is with those who do right.
