بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ 

পরম করুণাময় ও অসীম দয়ালু আল্লাহর নামে

الم ١

১. আলিফ-লা-ম মী-ম।

1. Alif Laam Miim.

২. রোম (জাতি) পরাজিত হয়ে গেছে,

غُلِبَتِ الرُّوْمُ ٢

2. The Romans have been defeated,

فِىْ اَدْنَى الْاَرْضِ وَهُمْ مِّنْ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُوْنَ ٣

৩. (পরাজিত হয়েছে) ভূমন্ডলের সবচাইতে নিচু অঞ্চলে, তাদের এ পরাজয়ের পর শীঘ্রই তারা (আবার) বিজয় লাভ করবে,

3. In a land close by but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious,

فِىْ بِضْعِ سِنِيْنَ ۗ لِلّٰهِ الْاَمْرُ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَمِنْ بَعْدُ ۚ وَيَوْمَئِذٍ يَّفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ ٤

৪. (তিন থেকে নয়-এ) বিজোড় বছরের মাঝেই (এ ঘটনা ঘটবে), এর আগেও (চুড়ান্ত) ক্ষমতা ছিলো আল্লাহ পাকের হাতে এবং (এ ঘটনার) পরেও (সে চাবিকাঠি থাকবে) তারই হাতে, (রোমকদের বিজয়ে) সেদিন ঈমানদার ব্যক্তিরা ভীষণ খুশী হবে,

4. Within a few years, with Allah is the Command in the Past and in the Future; on that day shall the Believers rejoice,

بِنَصْرِ اللهِ ۚ يَنْصُرُ مَنْ يَّشَاءُ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الرَّحِيْمُ ٥

৫. আল্লাহ পাকের সাহায্যেই (এটা ঘটবে), তিনি (যখন) যাকে চান তাকেই (বিজয়ে) সাহায্য দান করেন; তিনি মহাপরাক্রমশালী ও পরম দয়ালু।

5. With the help of Allah. He gives victory to whom he will, and he is exalted in Might, Most Merciful.

  وَعْدَ اللهِ ۖ لَا يُخْلِفُ اللهُ وَعْدَهُ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ٦

৬. (এটা হচ্ছে) আল্লাহ পাকেরই ওয়াদা; আল্লাহ পাক (কখনো) তার ওয়াদার বরখেলাপ করেন না, কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষই (তা) জানে না।

6. (It is) the promise of Allah. Never does Allah fail from His promise; but most men know not.

৭. তারা তো পার্থিব জীবনের (শুধু) বাইরের দিকটি (সম্পর্কেই) জানেন, কিন্তু আখেরাতের জীবন সম্পর্কে তারা (সম্পূর্ণই) গাফেল।

7. They know but the outher (things) in the life of this world: but of the Hereafter they are heedless.

৮. এ মানুষগুলো কি নিজেদের মনে এ কথা চিন্তা করে না, আল্লাহ পাক (কিভাবে) আসমানসমূহ, যমীন ও অন্য সব কিছু যথাযথভাবে এবং একটি সুনির্দিষ্ট সময় দিয়ে সৃষ্টি করেছেন; কিন্তু মানুষদের মাঝে অধিকাংশই (এসব কিছুর শেষে) তাদের প্রভুর সামনে হাযির হওয়াকে অস্বীকার করে।

8. Do they not reflect in their own minds? Not but in truth and for a term apponted, did Allah create the heavens and the earth, and all between them: yet are there truly many among men who deny the meeting with their Lord (at the Resurrection).

৯. এরা কি (আমার) যমীনে ভ্রমণ করে না এবং তাদের আগের লোকদের পরিণাম প্রত্যক্ষ করে না? অথচ তারা শক্তিতে এদের চাইতে ছিলো অনেক প্রবল, তারা এ যমীনে অনেক চাষাবাদ করেছে, (আজ) এরা যেমন একে আবাদ করছে, তাদের চাইতে (বরং) তারা বেশী পরিমাণেই একে আবাদ করেছিলো (অতঃপর) তাদের কাছে তাদের রাসূলরা সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শন নিয়ে হাযির হয়েছিলো (কিন্তু তারা রাসুলদের মানতে অস্বীকার করায় আমার গযব আবাদ করা সেই শখের যমীন থেকে তাদের নিশ্চহ্ন করে দিলো; আল্লাহ পাক তাদের ওপর (গযব পাঠিয়ে) কোনো অত্যাচার করেননি, বরং (কুফরী করে) তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের ওপর অত্যাচার করেছে।

9. Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them? They were superior to them in strength: they tilled the soil and populated it in greater numbers than these have done: there came to them their messengers with Clear (Signs), (which they rejected, to their own destruction): it was not Allah who wronged them, but they wronged their own souls.

১০. অতঃপর যারা মন্দ কাজ করেছে তাদের পরিণাম মন্দই হয়েছে, কেননা তারা আল্লাহ পাকের আয়তকে অস্বীকার করেছে, তা নিয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা বিদ্রুপও করেছে।

10. In the long run evil will be the End of those who do evil; for that they rejected the Signs of Allah, and held them up to ridicule.

১১. আল্লাহ পাক (নিজেই তাঁর) সৃষ্টিকে অস্তিত্ব দান করেন, আবার তিনিই তাকে তার (মূলের) দিকে ফিরিয়ে নেন, অতঃপর তোমাদের তার কাছেই ফিরিয়ে নেয়া হবে।

11. It is Allah who begins the creation; then repeats it; then shall you be rought back to him.

১২. যেদিন কিয়ামত অনুষ্টিত হবে, সেদিন (এর ভয়াবহতা দেখে) অপরাধী ব্যক্তিরা ভীতবিহ্বল হয়ে পড়বে।

12. On the Day when the Hour will come the guilty will be struck dumb with despair.

১৩. (সেদিন)তাদের শরীকদের কেউই তাদের জন্যে সুপারিশ করার মতো থাকবে না, বরং তারা তাদের এ শরীক করার ঘটনাই (তখন) অস্বীকার করবে।

13. No intercessor will they have among their "Partners" and they will (themselves) reject their "Partners".

১৪. যেদিন কিয়ামত হবে সেদিন মানুষেরা (ঈমান ও কুফরের ভিত্তিতে) আলাদা হয়ে পড়বে।

14. On the Day when the Hour will come that Day shall (all men) be sorted out.

১৫. যারা আল্লাহর ওপর ঈমান এনেছে এবং (সাথে সাথে) নেক কাজ করেছে তারা (বেহেস্তের) বাগিচায় থাকছে, তাদের (সেখানে প্রাচুর্যপূর্ণ) মেহমানদারী করা হবে।

15. Then those who have believed and worked righteous deeds, shall be made happy in a Mead (of Delight).

১৬. (অপরদিকে) যারা কুফরী করেছে এবং আমার আয়তকে অস্বীকার করেছে, (অস্বীকার করেছে) শেষ (বিচারের দিনে আমার) সামনা সামনি হওয়ার ঘটনাকে, তাদের (ভয়াবহ) শাস্তির সম্মুখীন করা হবে।

16. And those who have rejected Faith and falsely denied Our Signs and the meeting of the Hereafter, such shall be brought forth to Punishment.

১৭. অতএব, (দিবাশেষে) যখন তোমরা সন্ধ্যা করো তখন আল্লাহ পাকের মাহাত্ম্য ঘোষণা করো, (ঘোষণা করো) যখন সকাল (বেলার মাধ্যমে দিনের শুরু) করো তখনও।

17. So glory be to Allah, when you reach eventide and when you rise in the morning.

১৮. আসমানসমূহ ও যমীনের যাবতীয় প্রশংসা তো একমাত্র তাঁরই জন্যে, (তাঁর মাহাত্ম্য ঘোষণা করো যখন তোমরা (দিনের) দ্বিতীয় প্রহর (শুরু) করো, আবার যখন (দিনের) তৃতীয় প্রহর (শুরু) করো (তখনো তার মাহাত্ম্য ঘোষণা করো)।

18. Yea, to him be praise, in the heavens and on earth; and in the late afternoon and when the day begins to decline.

১৯. তিনিই মৃত থেকে জীবন্ত কিছুর আবির্ভাব ঘটান, একইভাবে জীবন্ত কিছু থেকে মৃতকে বের করে আনেন, তিনিই (সেই সত্ত্বা, যিনিএ) যমীনকে তার নির্জীব অবস্থার পর পুনরায় জীবন দান করেন; (ঠিক) এভাবেই তোমাদেরও (আবার) পুনরুত্থিত করা হবে।

19. It is He Who brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living, and Who gives life to the earth after it is dead: and thus shall you be brought out (from the dead).

২০. আল্লাহ পাকের (কুদরতের) নিদর্শনসমূহের মধ্যে (একটি নিদর্শন) এই যে, (শুরুতে) তিনি তোমাদের মাটি থেকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর তোমরা মানুষ হিসেবে যমীনে (সর্বত্র) ছড়িয়ে পড়লে।

20. Among His Signs is this, that He created you from dust; and then, behold, you are men scattered (far and wide).

২১. তাঁর (কুদরতের) নিদর্শনসমূহের (মাঝে) এও (একটি) যে তিনি তোমাদের জন্যে তোমাদের মধ্য থেকে (তোমাদের) সঙ্গী সঙ্গিনীদের বানিয়েছেন, যাতে করে তোমরা তাদের কাছে সুখ শান্তি লাভ করতে পারো, (উপরন্তু) তিনি তোমাদের মাঝে ভালবাসা ও (পারস্পরিক) সৌহার্দ সৃষ্টি করে দিয়েছেন, অবশ্যই এর মাঝে চিন্তাশীল জাতির জন্যে অনেক নিদর্শন রয়েছে।

21. And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquillity with them, and he has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect.

২২. আকাশমালা ও যমীনের সৃষ্টি, তোমাদের পারস্পরিক ভাষা ও বর্ণ বৈচিত্র (নিঃসন্দেহে) তাঁর (কুদরতের) নিদর্শসমূহের মাঝে (এক একটি বড় নিদর্শন); অবশ্যই জ্ঞানবান মানুষদের জন্যে এতে অনেক নিদর্শন রয়েছে।

22. And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours: verily in that are Signs for those who know.

২৩. তোমাদের রাত ও দিনের গুম, তোমাদের তাঁর দেয়া রিযিক তালাশ কারও তাঁর (কুদরতের) নিদর্শনসমূহের অন্তর্ভূক্ত (একটি); অবশ্য এসব কিছুর মাঝে যে জাতি (আল্লাহর কথা) শোনে তাদের জন্যে অনেক নিদর্শন রয়েছে।

23. And among His Signs is the sleep that you take by night and by day, and the quest that you (make for livelihood) out of His Bounty: verily in that are Signs for those who hearken.

২৪. তাঁর (কুদরতের) নিদর্শসমূহের মাঝে এও একটি যে, তিনি তোমাদের বিদ্যুৎ (ও তার আলো) দেখানো ভয় এবং আশা সঞ্চারের মাঝ দিয়ে (তা প্রতিভাত হয়), তিনি আসমান থেকে পানি বর্ষন করেন, অতঃপর তা দিয়ে যমীন একবার নির্জীব হয়ে যাওয়ার পর তাকে পুনরায় জীবন দান করেন; অবশ্য এতেও বোধশক্তিসম্পন্ন জাতির জন্যে (আল্লাহকে চেনার) অনেক নিদর্শন রয়েছে।

24. And among His Signs, He shows you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope, and He sends down rain from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after it is dead: verily in that are Signs for those who are wise.

২৫. তাঁর নিদর্শসমূহের মাঝে এও (একটি) যে, তাঁর আদেশেই আসমান যমীন (নিজ নিজ অবস্থানের ওপর) দাঁড়িয়ে আছে; (তোমরা এক সময় মাটির ভেতরে চলে যাবে) অতঃপর যথন তিনি তোমাদের (সে) মাটির (ভেতর) থেকে বেরিয়ে আসার জন্যে ডাক দেবেন, তখন (সে ডাক শোনামাত্রই) তোমরা বেরিয়ে আসবে।

25. And among His Signs is this, that heaven and earth stand by His Command: then when He calls you, by a single call, from the earth, behold, you (straightway) come forth.

২৬. (এ) আকাশমালা ও যমীনে (যেখানে) যা কিছু আছে তা তো (একান্তভাবে) তাঁর জন্যেই; সবকিছু তাঁর (আদেশরই) অনুগত।

26. To Him belongs every being that is in the heavens and on earth: all are devoutly obedient to Him.

২৭. (তিনিই সেই মহান সত্ত্বা) যিনি (গোটা) সৃষ্টি (জগত)-কে প্রথমবার সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর (কিয়ামতের দিন) তাকে আবার আবর্তিত করবেন, সৃষ্টির (প্রক্রিয়ায়) সে (কাজ)-টি তাঁর জন্যে খুবই সহজ; (কেননা) আসমানসমূহ ও যমীনে সর্বোচ্চ মর্যাদা তো তাঁর জন্যেই নির্ধারিত এবং তিনি মহাপরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।

27. It is He who begins the creation; then repeats it; and for him it is most easy. To Him belongs the loftiest similutude (we can think of) in the heavens and the earth: for He is Exalted in Might, full of wisdom.

২৮. (হে মানুষেরা)! আল্লাহ পাক তোমাদের (বুঝার) জন্যে তোমাদের (নিত্যদিনের ঘটনা) থেকে উদাহরণ পেশ করেছেন; (সে উদাহরণটির জিজ্ঞাসা হচ্ছে,) আমি তোমাদের যে রিযিক দান করেছি তাতে কি তোমাদের অধিকারভূক্ত দাসদাসীরা সমভাবে অংশীদার? (এমন অংশীদার)-যাতে করে তোমরা (এবং তারার) সমান হয়ে যেতে পারো (বলতে পারো), তোমরা কি তাদের (ব্যাপারে) ততটুকু ভয় করো, যতটুকু ভয় নিজেদের ব্যাপারে করো; (বস্তুত) এভাবেই আমি বোধশক্তিসম্পন্ন জাতির জন্যে (আমার কথাগুলো) খুলে খুলে বর্ণনা করি।

28. He does propound to you a similitude from yourselves: do you have partners among those whom your right hands possess, to share as equals in the wealth We have bestowed on you? Do you fear them as you fear each other? Thus do We explain the Signs in detail to a people that understand.

২৯. কিন্তু যারা সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী, তারা অজ্ঞাতাবশত নিজেদের খেয়াল খুশির অনুসরণ করে রেখেছে, সুতরাং আল্লাহ পাক যাতে পথভ্রষ্ট করে দিয়েছেন তাকে কে হেদায়াতের পথ দেখাতে পারে? এমন সব লোকদের কোনো সাহায্যকারীও নেই।

29. Nay, the wrong-doers (merely) follow their own desires being devoid of knowledge. But who will guide those whom Allah leaves astray? To them there will be no helpers.

৩০. অতএব, (হে নবী)! আপনি নিষ্ঠার সাথে নিজেকে (সঠিক) দ্বীনের ওপর কায়েম রাখুন; আল্লাহ পাকের প্রকৃতির ওপর (নিজেকে দাঁড় করান), যার ওপর তিনি মানুষকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন (মনে রেখো); আল্লাহর সৃষ্টির মাঝে কোনো রদবদল নেই; এ হচ্ছে সহজ (সরল) জীবন বিধান, কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষই তা জানে না।

30. So set thou thy face truly to the religion being upright, the nature in which Allah has made mankind: no change (there is) in the work (wrought) by Allah: that is the true Religion: but most among mankind know not.

৩১. তোমরা একনিষ্ঠভাবে তাঁরই অভিমুখী হও এবং শুধু তাঁকেই ভয় করো, তোমরা নামায প্রতিষ্ঠা করো এবং কখনো মুশরিকদের দলভূক্ত হয়ো না,

31. Turn you in repentance to Him, and fear Him: establish regular prayers, and be not you among those who join gods with Allah,

৩২. (তাদের মাঝে এমনও আছে) যারা তাদের দ্বীনকে টুকরো টুকরো করে দিয়েছে এবং তারা নানা ফের্কায়ও পরিণত হয়ে গেছে; প্রত্যেক দলই নিজেদের কাছে যা কিছু রয়েছে তা নিয়ে মত্ত আছে।

32. Those who split up their Religion and become (mere) Sects, each party rejoicing in that which is with itself.

৩৩. মানুষদের যখন কোনো দুঃখ দৈন্য স্পর্শ করে তখন তারা (আল্লাহর) দিকে বিনয়ের সাথে ধাবিত হয়ে তাদের প্রভুকে ডাকতে থাকে, অতঃপর যখন তিনি তাদের তাঁর দয়া (নেয়ামতের স্বাদ) উপভোগ করান, তখন সাথে সাথে তাদের একদল লোক তাদের প্রভুর সাথে (অন্যদের) শরীক করতে শুরু করে,

33. When trouble touches men, they cry to their Lord turning back to Him in repentance: but when he gives them a taste of Mercy from Himself, behold, some of them pay part-worship to other gods besides their Lord,

৩৪. উদ্দেশ্য হচ্ছে যা কিছু (অনুগ্রহ) আমি তাদের দান করেছি তার (প্রতি) যেন অকৃতজ্ঞতা (-জনিত আচরণ) করতে পারে, সুতরাং তোমরা ভোগ করে নাও, অতঃপর শীঘ্রই তোমরা (তোমাদের কুফরীর ফলাফল) জানতে পারবে।

34. (As if) to show their ingratitude for the (favours) We have bestowed on them! Then enjoy (your brief day); but soon will you know (your folly).

৩৫. কিংবা আমি কি তাদের ওপর এমন কোনো দলীল প্রমাণ পাঠিয়েছি যে, যে শিরক এরা করে চলেছে তা (তাদের) এমন কথা বলে?

35. Or have We sent down authority to them, which speaks to them the things to which the pay part-worship?

৩৬. আমি যখন মানুষদের অনুগ্রহ(-এর স্বাদ) আস্বাদন করাই, তখন তারা তাতে (ভীষণ) খুশী হয়; আবার যখন তাদেরই (মন্দ) কাজের কারণে তাদের ওপর কোনো মসিবত পতিত হয় তখন তারা সাথে সাথেই নিরাশ হয়ে পড়ে।

36. 'When We give men a taste of Mercy, they exult thereat: and when some evil afflicts them because of what their (own) hands have sent forth, behold, they are in despair.

৩৭. এরা কি এ বিষয়টি নিয়ে ভেবে দেখেনি, আল্লাহ পাক যার জন্যে চান তার রিযিক বাড়িয়ে দেন, আবার (যাকে চান তাকে) কম করে দেন; নিঃসন্দেহে যারা ঈমানদার, এতে (তাদের জন্যে) অনেক নিদর্শন রয়েছে।

37. See they not that Allah enlarges the provision and restricts it, to whomsoever He pleases? Verily in that are Signs for those who believe.

৩৮. অতএব, (হে ঈমানদার ব্যক্তি), তুমি আত্মীয়-স্বজনকে তার অধিকার আদায় করে দাও, অভাবগ্রস্ত মুসাফিরদেরও (নিজ নিজ পাওনা বুঝিয়ে দাও), এ (বিষয়টি) তাদের জন্যে ভালো যারা (একমাত্র) আল্লাহ পাকের সন্তুষ্টি কামনা করে, (আর সত্যিকার অর্থে) এরাই হচ্ছে সফলকাম।

38. So give what is due to kindred, the needy, and the wayfarer, that is best for those who seek the Countenance, of Allah and it is they who will prosper.

৩৯. যা (কিছু ধন সম্পদ) তোমরা সুদের ওপর দাও, (তা তো এ জন্যেই দাও) যেন তা অন্য মানুষদের মালের সাথে (শামিল হয়ে) বৃদ্ধি পায়, আল্লাহ পাকের দৃষ্টিতে তা (কিন্তু মোটেই) বাড়ে না, অপরদিকে যে যাকাত তোমরা দান করো তা (যেহেতু একান্তভাবে) আল্লাহ পাককে সন্তুষ্ট করার উদ্দেশ্যে দান করো, তাই বরং বৃদ্ধি পায়, জেনে রেখো এরাই হচ্ছে (সেসব লোক) যারা (যাকাতের মাধ্যমে) আল্লাহর দরবারে নিজেদের সম্পদ বহুগুণে বাড়িয়ে নেয়।

39. That which you give in usury for increase through the property of (other) people, will have no increase with Allah: but that which you give for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase): it is these who will get a recompense multiplied.

৪০. আল্লাহ পাক (সেই পরাক্রমশালী সত্ত্বা)-যিনি তোমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর তিনি তোমাদের রিযিক দান করেছেন, তিনিই আবার তোমাদের মৃত্যু দেবেন, অতঃপর (কিয়ামতের দিন) তিনি তোমাদের (আবার) জীবন দেবেন; তোমরা যাদের (আল্লাহর সাথে) শরীক করে নিয়েছো তাদের কেউ কি এমন আছে, যে এর কোনো একটি কাজও করতে পারবে? (মূলত) তারা (আল্লাহর সাথে) যাদের শরীক বানায়, আল্লাহপাক তা থেকে অনেক পবিত্র, অনেক মহান।

40. It is Allah Who has created you: further, He has provided for your sustenance; then He will cause you to die; and again He will give you life. Are there any of your (false) "Partners" who can do any single one of these things? Glory to Him! and High is He above the partners they attribute (to Him)!

৪১. মানুষের কৃতকর্মের দরুন জলে স্থলে (সর্বত্র আজ) বিপর্যয় ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে, (মূলত) আল্লাহ পাক তাদের কতিপয় কাজকর্মের জন্যে তাদের শাস্তির স্বাদ আস্বাদন করাতে চান, সম্ভবত তারা (সেসব কাজ থেকে) ফিরে আসবে।

41. Mischief has appeared on land and sea because of (the meed) that the hands of men have earned, that (Allah) may give them and taste of some of their deeds: in order that they may turn back (from evil).

৪২. (হে নবী)! আপনি বলুন, তোমরা (আল্লাহর) যমীনে ভ্রমণ করো এবং যারা আগে (এখানে মজুদ) ছিলো, (আল্লাহ পাককে অস্বীকার করায়) তাদের কি (পরিণতি) হয়েছিলো তা অবলোকন করো; (মূলত) তাদের অধিকাংশ লোকই ছিলো মুশরিক।

42. Say: Travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before (you): most of them were idolaters.

৪৩. অতএব, (হে নবী)! আপনি আপনার নিজেকে সত্য দ্বীনের ওপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত করে রাখুন আল্লাহ পাকের পক্ষ থেকে (ভয়াবহ) দিনটি আসার আগে (পর্যন্ত), যা কেউই ফিরিয়ে রাখতে পারবে না, আর সেদিন যখন আসবে তখন (মু'মিন ও কাফের) সবাই আলাদা হয়ে যাবে।

43. But set thou thy face to the right Religion, before there come from Allah the Day which there is no chance of averting: on that Day shall men be divided (in two).

৪৪. যে ব্যক্তি (আল্লাহ পাককে) অস্বীকার করলো, তার (এ) কুফরী (শাস্তি হিসেবে) তার ওপরই (এসে পড়বে, অপরদিকে) যে ব্যক্তি নেক আমল করলো, তারা (যেন এর মাধ্যমে) নিজেদের জন্যে (সুখ) শয্যা রচনা করলো।

44. Those who reject Faith will suffer from that rejection: and those who work righteousness will make provision for themselves (in heaven),

৪৫. (মূলত) যারাই (আল্লাহ পাকের ওপর) ঈমান আনবে এবং (সে অনুযায়ী) নেক আমল করবে, আল্লাহপাক তাঁর অনুগ্রহ দ্বারা তাদের (যথোপযুক্ত) বিনিময় দান করবেন; আল্লাহ পাক কাফেরদের কখনো পছন্দ করেন না।

45. That He may reward those who believe and work righteous deeds, out of His Bounty. For he loves not those who reject Faith.

৪৬. তাঁর (মহান কুদরতের) নিদর্শনসমূহের মাঝে এও (একটি) যে, তিনি (বৃষ্টির) সুসংবাদবাহী বাতাস প্রেরণ করেন, যাতে করে তিনি তোমাদের তাঁর অনুগ্রহের (স্বাদ) আস্বাদন করাতে পারেন, (উপরন্তু) তাঁর আদেশে(সমুদ্রে) জলযানগুলো যেন চলতে পারে এবং তোমরাও (এর মাধ্যমে) তাঁর (কাছ থেকে) রিযিক অন্বেষণ করতে পারো এবং আশা করা যায়, তোমরা (এসব কিছুর জন্যে) তাঁর কৃতজ্ঞতা জ্ঞাপন করবে।

46. Among His signs is this that He sends the winds, as hearalds of Glad Tidings, giving you a taste of His Mercy, that the ships may sail by His Command and that you may seek of His Bounty: in order that you may be grateful.

৪৭. (হে রাসূল)! আমি আপনার পূর্বে আরো রাসূল তাদের জাতির কাছে পাঠিয়েছিলাম, তারা (নবুওয়াতের) সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শনসমূহ নিয়েও এসেছিলো (কিন্তু তারা তা অস্বীকার করেছে), অতঃপর যারা অপরাধ করেছে আমি তাদের কাছ থেকে (মর্মান্তিক) প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণ করেছি; (কেননা, তাদের মোকাবেলায়) ঈমানদারদের সাহায্য করা ছিলো আমার ওপর কর্তব্য।

47. We did indeed send, before thee, messengers to their (respective) peoples, and they came to them with Clear Signs: then, to those who transgressed, We meted out Retribution: and it was a duty incumbent upon Us to aid those who believed.

৪৮. আল্লাহ পাক (সেই মহান সত্ত্বা, যিনি তোমাদের জন্যে) বায়ু প্রেরণ করেন, অতঃপর তা (এক সময়) মেঘমালা সঞ্চালিত করে, তারপর তিনি যেভাবে চান তাকে আসমানে ছড়িয়ে দেন, তাকে টুকরো টুকরো করেন, (এক পর্যায়ে) আপনি দেখতে পান তার ভেতর থেকে বৃষ্টি (কণা) বেরিয়ে আসছে, তিনি তাঁর বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে যাকেই চান তার ওপরই তা পৌছে দেন, তখন তারা (এটা দেখে) ভীষণ হর্ষোৎফুল্ল হয়ে যায়,

48. It is Allah who sends the Winds, and they raise the Clouds: then does He spread them in the sky as he wills, and break them into fragments, until thou seest raindrops issue from the midst thereof: then when He has made them reach such of His servants as He wills, behold, they do rejoice.

৪৯. অথচ এরাই (একটু আগে) তাদের ওপর (বৃষ্টি) অবতীর্ণের ব্যাপারে সম্পূর্ণ নিরাশ ছিলো!

49. Even though, before they received (the rain) just before, this they were dumb with despair!

৫০. তাকিয়ে দেখুন আল্লাহ পাকের (অফুরন্ত) রহমতের প্রভাবের দিকে, কিভাবে তিনি যমীনকে একবার মরে যাওয়ার পর পুনরায় (শ্যামল ও) জীবন্ত করে তোলেন; অবশ্যই আল্লাহ পাক (এভাবে কিয়ামতের দিন) সব মৃতকে জীবন দান করবেন, কেননা তিনি সর্ববিষয়ের ওপর একক ক্ষমতাবান।

50. Then behold (O man)! the tokens of Allah's Mercy! how He gives life to the earth after its death: verily the Same will give life to the men who are dead: for He has power over all things.

৫১. যদি আমি কখনো এমন বায়ু পাঠাতে শুরু করি, (যার ফলে) মানুষ ফসলকে হলুদ রঙের দেখতে পায়, তখন তারা আমার অকৃতজ্ঞতা জ্ঞান করতে শুরু করে।

51. And if We (but send a Wind from which they see (their tilth) turn yellow, behold, they become, thereafter, ungrateful (Unbelievers).

৫২. (হে নবী)! মৃতকে তো আপনি আপনার কথা শোনাতে পারবেন না, না পারবেন বধিরকে আপনার ডাক শোনাতে, (বিশেষ করে) যখন ওরা (আপনাকে দেখেই) মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।

52. So verily thou can not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call, when they show their backs and turn away.

৫৩. আপনি অন্ধদের তাদের গোমরাহী থেকে (বের করে) সঠিক পথ দেখাতে পারবেন না, আপনি তো কেবল এমন লোকদেরই (আমার কথা) শোনাতে পারবেন যে আমার আয়াতসমূহের ওপর ঈমান আনে, কেননা এরাই হচ্ছে (নিবেদিত) মুসলমান।

53. Nor Cast thou lead back the blind from their straying: only those will thou make to hear, who believe in our Signs and submit (their wills in Islam).

৫৪. আল্লাহ পাকই (হচ্ছেন সেই মহান সত্ত্বা)-যিনি তোমাদের দূর্বল করে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর তিনি (এ) দূর্বলতার পর (দেহে) শক্তি সৃষ্টি করেছেন, আবার (তিনি এ) শক্তির পর (পুনরায়) দূবর্লতা ও বার্ধক্য সৃষ্টি করেছেন; (বস্তুত) তিনি যা ইচ্ছা তাই সৃষ্টি করেন এবং তিনিই সর্বক্ষমতাবান ও সর্বজ্ঞ।

54. It is Allah who created you in a state of (helpless) weakness, then gave (you) strength after weakness, then after strength, gave (you) weakness and a hoary head: He creates whatever He wills, and it is He who has all knowledge and power.

৫৫. যেদিন কিয়ামত কায়েম হবে সেদিন অপরাধী ব্যক্তিরা কমস খেয়ে বলবে, তারা তো (কবরে) মুহূর্তকালের বেশী অবস্থান করেননি; (আসলে) এরা এভাবেই সত্যাবিমুখ থেকেছে (এবং দ্বারে দ্বারে ঠোকর খেয়েছে)।

55. On the Day that the Hour (of reckoning) will be established, the transgressors will swear that they tarried not but an hour: thus were they used to being deluded.

৫৬. কিন্তু সেসব লোক, যাদের যথার্থ জ্ঞান ও ঈমান দেয়া হয়েছে, তারা বলবে (না), তোমরা তো আল্লাহ পাকের হিসাব মতো (কবরে) পুনরুত্থান দিবস পর্যন্তই অবস্থান করে এসেছো। আর আজকের দিনই হচ্ছে (সেই প্রতিশ্রুত) পুনরুত্থান দিবস, কিন্তু তোমরা (এ দিনটাকে সঠিক বলে) জানতে না।

56. But those endued with knowledge and faith will say: "Indeed you did tarry, within Allah's Decree, to the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection: but you did not know."

৫৭. সেদিন যালেমদের ওযর আপত্তি তাদের কোনোই উপকারে আসবে না, না তাদের আল্লাহ পাকের সন্তুষ্টি লাভের সুযোগ দেয়া হবে।

57. So on that Day no excuse of theirs will avail the Transgressors, nor will they be allowed to make amends.

৫৮. (হে নবী)! আমি মানুষদের (বোঝানোর) জন্যে এ কোরআনে সব ধরনের উদাহরণই পেশ করেছি; (তারপরও) যদি আপনি এদের কাছে কোনো আয়াত নিয়ে হাযির হন, তবুও এ কাফেররা বলবে, তোমরা (তো কতিপয়) বাতিলপন্থী ব্যক্তি ব্যতীত আর কিছুই নও।

58. Verily we have propounded for men, in this Qur'an. Every kind of Parable: but if thou bring to them any Sign, the Unbelievers are sure to say, "You do nothing but talk vanities."

৫৯. এভাবেই আল্লাহ পাক তাদের অন্তরে মোহর মেরে দেন, যারা (সত্য সম্পর্কে কিছুই) জানে না।

59. Thus does Allah seal up the hearts of those who understand not.

৬০. অতএব, (হে নবী)! আপনি ধৈর্যধারণ করুন, অবশ্যই আল্লাহ পাকের ওয়াদা সত্য, যাদের (শেষ বিচার দিনের ওপর) আস্থা নেই, তারা যেন আপনাকে কখনোই (সত্য দ্বীন থেকে) বিচলিত করতে না পারে।

60. So patiently persevere: for verily the promise of Allah is true: nor let those excite thee, who have (themselves) no certainty of faith.
